Makki was a senior field commander in the Hezbollah terrorist organization on the southern front, who was responsible for the planning and execution of numerous terrorist attacks against Israeli civilians and territory since the start of the war. </p><p>As part of his role in the Hezbollah terrorist organization, Makki was responsible for various acts of terrorism against the Israeli home front, and he previously served as the commander of Hezbollah's forces in the coastal region.</p>

Terrorists in Lebanon fire rockets towards Meron in northern Israel, Lebanese reports claim IDF is striking back.

The Saudi channel Al-Hadath reported that "80 rockets were fired towards Meron and the Upper Galilee and western Galilee areas."

An IDF spokesman has clarified that the rocket fired towards Sderot was not intercepted, despite previous reports that it had been. The rocket caused damage to a structure in the city. No one was hurt and the incident is being investigated.
